Goodbye EU, goodbye uni, hello hopefully good things 🕺

Goodbye EU, goodbye uni, hello hopefully good things 🕺

So, I think we are all due a little update as it's been a busy few months and lots of things are changing, some bad news and some good news.

So, let's start bad and get better. I'm unfortunately closing all orders to the EU and northern Ireland since the new General Product Safety Regulations starting in December are going to make it too difficult for the majority of small businesses to hit those regulations. I initially thought that I could find a way to work with it, but the GDPR is also getting tighter and way to complicated for me to work around currently. Both these things mean selling to the EU is very high risk for me with fines if I don't comply correctly, or it's very expensive and time consuming if I comply. So at the moment, it's best for me to close orders, hopefully in future I can work something out or the regulations will change, but currently I can't do much about it.

I am planning to keep on demand prints available to EU/NI customers as they are produced and shipped through a third party company so I don't have to deal with those regulations, someone does it all for me ✌️

The next goodbye (though, a more positive one) is to uni, since I have just a few weeks until I'm all done! Right now I've been pushing through the last little bit ready for our deadlines and our final show! For the show, I have handmade almost 100 books out of my artwork and other students work, the books will be on display at the Lighthouse in Poole from November 27th to December 5th, and you can pick yourself a book and take it home with you :) I'm aiming to have none left by the end of the show.

The good news with uni ending is that I will finally have time to work on my own art again, and making art I can sell again! This also means I will be able to open up commissions again (Valentine's Day deals are coming soon)! I will also just have so much more time and energy to put into it, I'm really looking forward to that. I've also been really wanting to host art classes, and make live videos and long form video content for a while so I'm super excited to do that.
